Grammatical Rule The word expressing "by what" or "with what" pertaining to the verb
will be in instrumental case.
Sentences 1 and 9 also follow this rule.
Besides the above rules there are some special rules where insrtumental case is used. Followings are the examples of these.

Grammatical Rule When someone or something is coming from a place the word expressing
the source will be in ablative case.

Besides the above rules there are few more special rules where ablative case is used.
Followings are the examples of these.

In sentence 1 above, if we ask the question "give rice to whom?", the answer that comes is "the beggar".
So, "beggar" is the dative in the sentence and the noun-form is in dative case or
chaturthii vibhakti . Similarly in sentence 3, if we ask the question "doctor gave medicine to whom?",
the answer that comes is "patient".
So, answers to the question "to whom" or "for whom" etc., is the dative in the sentence and
is always in dative [...]

For example - the verb "be" or भू (bhuu)
has a form like भवति (bhavati), भवतः (bhavataH), भन्ति (bhavanti) and so on.
The verb "read" or पठ् (paTh) is of the same category and follows the same pattern
as पठति (paThati), पठतः (paThataH), पठन्ति (paThanti). In both the cases the suffixes
ति (ti), तः (taH) and न्ति (nti) were added to the root words be (भू / bhuu) and
read (पठ् / paTh) to get the derived form.

Grammatical Rule The word expressing the location of something or someone will
be in locative case.
Sentence 1 to 8 follow this rule. Besides the above rules there are few more special rules where loctive case is used. Followings

This includes the philosophical aspect of the scriptures. The vedic text
used to be propagated from one generation to the next as oral teaching or
recitation. Hence the word सृति (sRRiti) literally meaning "which has been
heard". Each veda contains different sections and chapters. The classification

with णकार (Nakaara). In Sanskrit words ending with letter न (na) can be substituted with
the letter with ण (Na), if certain rules are satisfied. For example the instrumrntal case
of अकारान्त (akaaraanta) words
"god" and "Rama" are देवेन (devena) and रामेण (raameNa) respectively. In the second case the word
ends with ण (Na) insteade of न (na).
निमितम् (nimitam): For the णत्व (Natvaa) to take place atleast one
letter anywhere in the word before the नकार (nakaara) has to be रेफ् (rephaH)
or र (ra), षकार [...]

In sentences 13 and 14 the Subject (kartaa) is in second person singular (मध्यमपुरुष एकवचन / madhyamapuruSha ekavachana) and in case of 17 and 18 the Subject (kartaa) is in second person plural (मध्यमपुरुष बहुवचन / madhyamapuruSha bahuvachana). We can see that in all these sentences the Subject used is युस्मद् (yusmad) शब्द (shabda). In case of second person the kartaa is always युस्मद् [...]
